The Art Buyer Gallery welcomes The Art Buyer Collective; a collective of five talented female UK artists exhibiting at the gallery between August 11th – September 6th. The exhibition Sympatheia explores what it means to be present in this world through the beauty of landscape and human form. The collective will be sharing insights into their creative practice through a program of workshops hosted at The Art Buyer Gallery. We’re so excited to welcome you in to a series of exciting events this Summer.

Come and join landscape artist Jessica Gale for an evening of experimental drawing with charcoal and ink. Across a range of surfaces and mark-making approaches, Jessica will guide you through a process of genuine exploration – no fixed outcomes, just the pleasure of discovering what happens when you stop trying to control the result. Jessica appeared on Sky’s Landscape Artist of the Year in 2024 and has work held in collections across the UK, Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. Her painting practice is rooted in the emotional experience of place rather than literal description, and this workshop invites you into that same way of seeing and responding.

Join artist Jane Pine for a relaxed and welcoming evening of life drawing. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced artist, you will be guided through drawing the figure using a variety of materials and techniques, with plenty of encouragement to explore your own creative approach. All materials are provided, just bring yourself and enjoy a creative evening of observation and expression. Jane is an award-winning artist who exhibits widely in the South West of England, Manchester and London. Her figurative paintings explore the human form, emotion, memory, and connection and are inspired by the shared experiences that shape us.

Come and join artist and coach Rachel Redfern for an evening workshop of abstract florals. Inspired by freshly picked flowers she will guide you through the creation of some simple abstract works on paper that you can take home, with some tools and techniques for incorporating art into your life for wellbeing and inspiration. Rachel has exhibited widely throughout the UK and has artwork in private collections both at home and abroad. She blends her experience as a painter with her coaching skills to make art accessible for all, no matter what your chosen career or personal circumstances. She is passionate about the benefits of the arts and nature for wellbeing and is a Trustee for Mind.

There is free parking for 3 hours on Bridge Road.
