This collection of stunning paintings sees two talented oil painters celebrate the exquisite beauty in nature, captured in contemporary but timeless oil paintings. Located on bridge Road, the gallery has an array of gorgeous nature, independent shops & the beautiful River Thames on its doorstep. The collection is open to all from the beginning of May until the end of June, we’re ready to welcome you in this Spring/Summer season.

Jo Barrett
Jo Barrett
Jo Barrett is a London-based artist who is renowned for her realist still life oil paintings. She takes inspiration from the Dutch masters, with a focus on minimal compositions, capturing the essence of form, light and atmosphere through the careful selection of objects and the spaces they inhabit. This is done through her use of delicate brush strokes and attention to detail. She creates a harmonious blend between tradition and the present.
Jo Barrett graduated with a first class honors degree at Bath Spa University in 2000, and since then has been exhibiting in galleries in Bath, London and New York. In addition, she has exhibited at art fairs globally.
The Art Buyer’s latest collection showcases thirteen stunning contemporary still-lifes by Jo Barrett, including the striking ‘Still Life with Pink Foxgloves and Stoneware Bottle’, with pink & peach accents. ‘Still life with Stoneware Bottle and Red Pears’ features ripe red pears placed carefully by a fantastically painted stoneware bottle

Melanie Goemans

Melanie grew up in the Lincolnshire fens, living in Italy between studying Florentine Renaissance Art at the Courtauld Institute of Art, University of London (BA Hons. and MA with distinction). Then followed MA Fine Art (Painting) at the University of Gloucestershire, and a series of residencies including at the Florence Trust, Highbury. She now works from her studio in Cambridgeshire.
Melanie’s work has been selected for the prestigious John Moores Painting Prize, The John Ruskin Prize, Wells Art Contemporary and the ING Discerning Eye and National Open Art exhibitions. Her work is held in collections worldwide including The Dorchester, the Pizzuti Collection, Imago Mundi, Exton Park Vineyard, Fox Linton, Bridgeman Art Library.
Melanie Goemans’ collection of eight spectacular paintings grace our gallery walls. Including the encompassing original paintings ‘May (miniature)’ and ‘May (miniature) #2’ by Melanie Goemans. These wonderful mixed-media paintings capture the breathtaking, imaginative awe of our natural surroundings. The paintings pair beautifully with one another.
