Isolamento is part of acclaimed photographer Gina Soden’s series – How Long Is Now. This is a series that plays with a powerful paradox. At first glance, the viewer might think the photographs only depict the past: past dreams, past lives, past structures. In fact, Soden’s work really talk about the present and our perception of passing time. This series pushes the viewer into a profound reflection about the meaning of time, and our understanding of the present moment — of Now.

This work features an abandoned building, which the artist found and photographed near the Italian town of Bergamo.
