As an art consultant, there’s nothing lovelier than being sent photos of works in their new homes.

When I visited Cornish artist @amy_albright in her studio I was captivated by her large scale oil paintings - landscape and seascapes with a surreal air. The other-worldliness of her expansive canvases add a feeling of peace and wonder to a room.

Contemporary abstract artist @georgiaelliott_artist packs her canvasses with energy, movement and brings surprising twists to the abstract landscape theme with her use of loose mark making and vivid palettes.

Both works pop on this gorgeous navy backdrop, in their new home in Ireland.

Memories of Affordable Art Fair Battersea, July 21.

After a little hiatus for follow ups, framing, admin and recovery (!) I’ve loved reflecting on my first Affordable Art Fair as The Art Buyer.

Thank you to the wonderful artists whose work I was honoured to show. Thank you to the organisers of the Affordable Art Fair. Thank you to all the incredible collectors and clients who came to say hello and shared their energy and passion with us. And a crucial thank you to my support team. I’m a one-woman business, but those in the know know I have a rather crucial (often disobedient but always funny) wingman. My husband who took a week off his (less creative) day job to support me. My mum for running the ship outside of the fair and my best friends and sister for making trips from Warwick, Oxford and Suffolk to come along and support us. Not to mention all the surprise visits from very welcome familiar faces.

Despite the football and the tennis, and the other thing 🦠 the weekend was buzzy and the atmosphere frankly addictive.

We’re working on something rather exciting over the next month or so which I can’t wait to share with you. Thank you for being with us on this inspiring and enthralling journey xx
