Georgia Elliott

Georgia Elliott is a painter and collage artist based in Woburn Sands, Buckinghamshire. She works from her garden studio exploring the British coast and landscapes. Working on wood panel Georgia uses acrylic paint to build rich layers of texture and colour.

Georgia studied Art & Design at Bournemouth University, followed by a BA Hons in Illustration at The UCA in Kent. Georgia has been shortlisted for the AOI World Illustration Awards and was a finalist for Young Start-up Talent, Brighton. After living in Brighton, she returned to Buckinghamshire where she grew up.

“To begin, working with colour and texture is intuitive, building multiple layers gives me something to react to. As the painting begins to take shape, I use design and value to push the painting in the desired direction. Working on 4 -10 panels at a time keeps things fresh and allows me to react to the mark-making of the previous session.”
