An abstract and semi-abstract landscape painter, Emma lives and works in Surrey.

Having lived in both England and Australia, Emma’s paintings are influenced by her emotions and visual memories, primarily of the natural landscapes within which she has lived and travelled. Her work depicts an abstraction and stripping back of the landscapes representational line and form ~ creating an atmospheric ambiance. Enhancing mood and drama through a depth of light, this often evokes a sense of melancholy and self-reflection, showing that we each have our own unique connection that comes from being within a landscape.

Emma initially undertook a Foundation Fine Art Degree before completing a Bachelor of Graphic Design. She has had a successful career both in Sydney and London as an Art Director and Creative Director for some of the worlds leading women’s magazine titles. In 2019 Emma left the confines of the publishing world behind to pursue her fine arts career.

Notable successes included being selected for the prestigious David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation Wildlife Artist of the Year, including being Highly Commended in 2023; the Society of Graphic Fine Art and the Society of Women Artists ~ all exhibiting at the Mall Galleries, London. She was shortlisted for the Women in Art Prize 2023, and will be appearing as a wildcard on the upcoming series of SkyArts Landscape Artist of the Year. Her works are held in private collections in Australia, Asia, Europe and the UK.
