With her recent series of work, Ele Pack wanted to create paintings filled with air, light and life. Intricately drawn marks with broad swathes of intense colour. A clarity of line speaking to directness and powerful intention.
Ele sees her paintings existing in the same space as music or poetry. Experiences to be felt on an emotional level. In the space where words escape us, where visual language becomes more truthful, disclosing our real selves, through mark and metaphor.
Ele Pack received her degree from Loughborough College of Art. She now lives and works in Brighton. Her work has been exhibited by various UK galleries and overseas, and her work is owned by many collectors in the US, Japan and Europe.
Ele Pack has worked from her studio in Hove, East Sussex for the past ten years. It used to be an old dairy. It is a light, airy space that is walking distance from the sea, she is used to the sound of seagulls.

This process can involve as little or as much interaction as you would like. We usually allow 4 – 6 weeks to complete a painting, depending on size. Initially we send some painted sketches of what the broad shape of the finished painting would look like, for your approval. Once agreed on the direction you would like the painting to go, Ele orders the bespoke canvas, and start work. We would then send you images of your painting, halfway through the process, to see if you are happy with the direction of the piece.
