Becky Munting

“I have always had a love of the countryside and nature. Having grown up in East Anglia and now living in Suffolk, I am lucky enough to be surrounded by different birds and animals which inspire my work.

With oil paints I try to represent each animal or bird in a naturalistic way, striving to capture their spirit and vitality. I use the gold leaf to emphasise and enhance the fragility and preciousness of the natural world.

I am fortunate enough to have been awarded a series of Residency projects from Galloper Sands Gallery and the Alde Valley Spring Festival over the past few years. These projects have given me access to areas along the rivers and coastline on private estate which are rich in a variety of bird life, my prime focus for my work. 

My paintings are shown in galleries throughout East Anglian and London and I have my work in private collections both nationally and internationally.”
